TVP provides a wide range of services centered on securing and managing capital investments and in providing critical management services in every opportunity we consider. We engage with startups, mid-stage and mature companies, providing assistance in raising startup and/or follow on capital. We work with companies to accelerate their likelihood of being funded and to improve their performance on the key cash, operating and financial metrics that drive attractive returns.
We provide advisory and management consulting services, most often in the context of assisting companies in improving their operating and financial performance such that they can secure additional funding and be positioned to consider a full range of exit opportunities. We work with CEO’s, boards, bankers, attorneys and private investors.
We do invest in early and mid-stage companies. However, we are not seed stage investors in most cases. Further, we typically only consider market segments that we fully understand what it takes to be successful, based on our own collective operating experiences. We rarely deviate from the five key market segments listed earlier where we have deep industry experience built from a combination of operating, investment and management consulting roles.
Our screening process looks for companies with a defensible and demonstrated product and/or service offering with a well-conceived roadmap, a committed management team and a realistic financial forecast. Most of the companies where we evaluate investment opportunities have already secured some initial investment capital, often in prior funding rounds.
We work with companies that are looking to raise investment capital. We work with CEO’s, boards and private investors to assess their likelihood of securing capital, and work to improve their chances of securing funding. We consider several prerequisites around product/service features, target customers, competitive landscape, financial models, pricing and valuation scenarios. We target the most likely investors from the venture capital world, private equity firms, private investors and corporate venture entities. We screen many potential investor targets based on investment history, track record, coupled with our analysis of match potential with our client companies.
We work with companies to identify changes and provide execution assistance to achieve short term verifiable results, usually targeting a 30-60 day at the low end to about 3-6 months at the high end, depending on owner/investor objectives. The goal is always the same -- to reposition the company on a growth path, such that they can secure necessary financing, achieve better performance and make the full spectrum of exit opportunities available to them.
M&A, Exit Strategies
We work with companies to identify potential exit opportunities via partners, competitors, investors across a wide channel of private investors, private equity and existing industry players. We screen many potential channels and investors, force rank the opportunities and work with the client company to evaluate the most attractive alternatives.
We work with underperforming companies that come to us and/or are referred to us from bankers, investors, attorneys and our network. Our focus is on achieving cash flow profitability, operating performance and overall financial viability going forward. We work with a combination of owners, investors and management teams to identify critical changes, build the appropriate plans, define critical milestones and secure the necessary resources to position the company to be successful. This work often requires repositioning the company’s strategy, improving operations, sales, distribution, and realigning the financial structure with verifiable short term forecasts.

Many are underperforming for a variety of reasons, but are what we consider viable and attractive turnaround opportunities. Most of the opportunities we evaluate are “good” companies, many have outstanding management teams, but all have some critical issues to resolve and are willing to partner with the right parties to remedy the situation and reposition the company for success.
Most of our investments are in early and mid-stage companies. We look for investment opportunities that are “late” early stage, typically startups with a product and/or service offering, have done a successful “beta” test as a starting point, have some experienced, and, hopefully, recurring customers, have a committed management team and a realistic financial forecast.
We also invest in companies, who are underperforming, some who require a combination of capital and partner guidance. These companies have already secured investment capital, often in prior funding rounds and are underperforming for a variety of reasons, but are mostly good companies with some critical issues to resolve.
